Sarcoma (2021) Directed by Laura Jurkaityte Project manager and sound designer Marcus Ovre Art Director Veronika Jakutaviciute CATTs is a small young charity program that is contributing to raising cancer awareness among younger groups of people. Our university had an opportunity to take a chance in creating informational videos about different type of cancer and our group got sarcoma. I made this animatic in a week because we had a rough deadlines, that's why it is quite minimalistic and simple. Between two Fire (2020) Synopsis A baby camel tries to run away from bushfire in Australia, however a shocking surprise awaits him in the end of journey. This 3D animated short was created by me and my fellow friend Laura Jurkaityte. In summer 2020's Australia suffered not only from wildfires but as well from drought and that had a massive impact on a wild camel population. "Australian government adopted the National Feral Camel Action Plan and began massive culling operations." Mukesh Rawat, New Delhi, 2020 "People need to take responsability for their actions" The main purpose of our film was to make larger audience pay attension to this problem and petition against massive animal killing. There are always other ways to solve the problem. I worked on this animatic around a month. It took us a lot of time to finalise the scrypt so that the symbolistic images in the beginning would clearly represent the idea and have a smooth transitions. One more challenge was that the story was supposedly narated by a 6-7 yaers old kid's manner, so we had to take in mind how the situation could've been seen from his perspective. Right now the film is participating in quite a few animation and film festivals, that's why I unfortunately can't publish it but definitely will when it will be possible. Fit In | Trailer | 2019 Made by V Jakutaviciute The film is about broken jigsaw puzzle piece that goes on a journey around the house in hope to find a new place where it can fit in. The story is a metaphor and main character that is presented in this short film as jigsaw piece can be easily related to an outcast, unwanted, written off and dismissed by society person in real life.
